Born in Vietnam, Caroline Vu spent her childhood in Saigon during the height of the Vietnam War. She left her native country at the age of 11, moving first to the US, then to Canada. Her childhood memories of war-torn Vietnam have inspired her two novels: That Summer in Provincetown and Palawan Story—winner of the 2016 Fred Kerner Prize. After extended stays in Latin America and Europe, the author is back in Canada where she lives with her two daughters. She currently works as a family physician in Montreal.

Caroline Vu est née à Dalat en pleine guerre du Vietnam. Elle a quitté son pays natal à l’ age de 11 ans pour les Etats-Unis et ensuite pour le Canada. Après des séjours prolongés en Amérique Latine et en Europe, Caroline est revenue à Montréal avec ses deux filles. Elle travaille actuellement comme médecin de famille. Son premier roman Palawan Story a obtenu le prix Fred Kerner de la Canadian Authors Association. Un été à Provincetown, la version française de son deuxième roman a été nommé un des 15 meilleurs livres québecois de l’année par la revue Les Méconnus.
